Stronghold Comics & Collectibles of Acadiana

I used to come to this comic book shop as a kid, and even then I was nervous to go in. I remember Ms. Teresa always making me feel welcome. Now, almost two decades later, Ms. Teresa has retired, and my own kids are the same age I was when I first walked through those doors.The shop is now run by a local family and they’ve created the kind of welcoming, family atmosphere that makes customers—my family included—feel at home. The effort that has been put into constructing a welcoming comic shop experience is clear, should you need help they are more than happy to provide it, if you'd rather just spend an hour or two flipping through the large selection of comics and collectibles unbothered, they can provide that too. Stronghold is a Lafayette staple and whether you are a long time collector or just curious to see what's in store, you should absolutely give them a try.

Husband is a huge comic/toy collector. We visit shops everywhere we go! Stronghold has an amazing selection, wonderful customer service and friendly owners. We've been in many times, even when the previous owner owned it. The newer owners carried on a wonderful business and made it even better. We will visit every single time we are in Lafayette. Will now be ordering online from them as well!! 5 stars all the way around. Location, parking, hours, employees/owners, selection. Everything.

Fantastic comic shop and The staff is absolutely amazing! Great selection of Comics and Collectibles! If you're looking for a chill shop that has a wide variety of Comics, this is the place! They even have some rare pieces as well! If you're looking for Comics, these are the people to check with first! 10/10!

I walked into the Stronghold booth at the Eastern rim funny book con, and the people in the booth were the nicest individuals, well everyone of the vendors at the con were overwhelmingly nice and friendly, but the person at the booth helped me and my wife get a personal grail book, which was priced very well. Christina was very knowledgeable and very welcoming, I will say that they made our visit feel like we were home.

I hadn't been there in years. Going through the area I stopped by the just check it out and was seriously impressed with the amount to comics they had. It was wall to wall books front the front door to the rear. It was a great stopping point and enjoyed the chat with the owners. Will definitely be going back when Im in town as it was a comic book enthusiast delight.
