About Us

Touché Livros began in Brazil as an independent used-bookstore based in Curitiba. Founded in 2019 as an online bookstore, the project expanded into a physical space in 2022 and, in 2024, moved to the city’s historic and cultural center, near Largo da Ordem. Since its beginning, Touché Livros has been guided by a commitment to books, readers, and the cultural value of literature.

The Brazilian platform — https://www.touchelivros.com.br/ — operates as a curated bookstore, combining online sales with a physical space dedicated to used books. Our focus has always been on quality, trust, and personal service, offering carefully selected titles and a meaningful experience for readers.

In early 2026, Touché Livros expanded beyond the bookstore format with the launch of its English-language project.

The English version of Touché Livros is a large-scale informational book database, designed to aggregate and organize an extensive collection of books published in the English language. Its goal is to bring together as many titles as possible, enriched with structured, relevant, and reliable data — including authorship, editions, publication details, thematic context, and editorial information.

Rather than functioning primarily as a store, the English platform is conceived as a reference and discovery space for readers, researchers, students, and book enthusiasts. It aims to map the landscape of English-language publishing, preserve bibliographic information, and make book-related data accessible, searchable, and interconnected.

Both projects share the same foundation: respect for books, careful curation, and a belief in reading as a transformative cultural practice. While the Brazilian site focuses on commerce and direct relationships with readers, the English platform extends Touché Livros’ mission into the realm of information, documentation, and literary exploration at scale.

Together, they form complementary parts of a single vision — one rooted in physical books and local culture, and the other dedicated to knowledge organization and global literary access.
