Lovely shop with many unique finds from book, to paper ephemera, to antiques. Well curated and organized with a friendly helpful staff.
Fantastic! well curated and beautifully organized bookstore. Two floors of clean, fairly priced books, with an especially strong selection of art books, classics, and poetry. There is also a surprisingly robust collection of first editions. The owner has an exceptional eye for what true book fiends are searching for. In addition to books, there is a lovely selection of ephemera, old maps, photographs, and other paper treasures that make browsing a joy. A small but thoughtful collection of art and ceramics rounds out the experience. This has quickly become my favorite bookstore and is absolutely worth the trip!
An absolutely stunning bookstore with rare and antiquarian books as well as a huge selection of various used books from an eclectic assortment of genres. Comfortable, cozy, clean, and well appointed shop.nnThe owner is a lovely soul that is delightful to talk to and to work with. She was very helpful and kindnnI look forward to visiting again the next time I'm in Providence.
I was lucky enough to come across this store during my daughter’s Birthday weekend. A true GEM! 💎 Everything inside has been acquired & orchestrated with care & passion. A delight for the eyes, mind & spirit. The staff & owner were lovely & helpful. I can’t wait to go back. Well worth a travel to go see & I’ll be visiting from an hour & a half away. Thank you!
An attractive store, but they could stand to be more hospitable. I went in there with a stroller – I’m not sure if it was related to that come with the person behind the counter seemed irritated by my presence. It seems like the main square footage is on the lower level, but what with the stroller there was no way I was getting down there – it was already extremely difficult to maneuver around the tight upper floor. The way they have laid things out clearly did not envisage people using strollers or wheelchairs ever entering this space. Clearly the main square footage is downstairs in the basement and I was curious about what categories of fiction or nonfiction. I might be missing. When I asked what was downstairs, the guy raised an eyebrow and said, monotone, “more books”. Which by the way is abundantly visible to anyone entering the store, by the way. Did I just not look the part, having failed to don my black polo neck and square rimmed glasses before leaving the house?nStore has charm though and from the glimpse I had seems well curated.
