Books a Million carries a large selection of Rolife kits (kits that you put together to create miniature shops, rooms, etc.).BUYER BEWARE for purchasing at the Books – A -Million at Levi’s Commons. I purchased one (Simon’s Coffee Shop) and after opening I discovered that part of it was completed, broken, and the glue had leaked completely out of the bottle and was dried on everything. Now this was a brand new box, shrink-wrapped and everything. I took it back and tried to replace it with the exact same Simon’s Coffee Shop but they didn’t have one. They couldn’t explain how it was used yet looked new. Also said they would mark this as defective.nnTwo weeks later I go back into store and there once again was Simon’s Coffee Shop on the shelf nice and new looking. Supervisor confirmed that they had not gotten a new shipment. She also confirmed they have the ability to shrink wrap. This store is taking back damaged and used merchandise, re-wrapping it and presenting it as new. Can only assume if they do it for these kits they do it for everything. There is nothing right about this practice. The kit I purchased would have had it done at least twice. So again, BUYER BEWARE.
Horrible company. Don’t order anything from this place. They take your money, they change the order, they charge you a different amount for shipping than you agreed to, it is a total bait and switch business. Honestly, I think Al Capone ran a cleaner business than this place does. Shameful behavior. Someone should close them down.
Spent over $300 on books needed to return only $75 of that order due to my daughter not liking them the manager Jordan pretended he didn’t have any cash to do a return. This company’s revenue is over $100 million. I won’t be shopping here anymore.
Just some constructive criticism. If you don’t have enough product to fulfill orders, don’t continue to take orders on said product. Only for a confirmation email to be sent, and a classic rug pull to occur the next day when the order is canceled. Just a thought.
I went into the store to purchase a few unique games for my class. I happen to discover a 20 Questions device that I have not seen in the stores lately. Normally the cost was around $12-15. The cashier didn’t find the item in their inventory. It would not scan or ring up. He then went on Amazon and gave me the price of $25.00. I was shocked and asked to speak with a manager. What a surprising turn of events! The manager was rude and didn’t want to listen to my concern, and stated I could take it for $25.00 or nothing ! I purchased $68.00 in other games and items and left very disappointed with the manager’s demeanor. 😔
