Everything about this place is great. The book selection is very vast; but it’s divided such that I find myself only having to go to a few sections to get what I need; in other words; it’s divided to make things easier for YOU. The books themselves are awesome; to the point where sometimes I want TOO many books (see the image 👀). The cafe has great food and AMAZING drinks. The ambience is unmatched, and it’s great for studying, shopping, or even just reading. AWESOME‼️‼️
Barnes & Noble is a great bookstore… but I’ve got a bit of a bone to pick.nnBarnes & Noble is kind of the opposite of what you picture when you think “dream bookstore.” The ideal is usually a small, cozy, locally owned shop with personality. This is… not that. It’s big, efficient, and full of everything you didn’t know you were going to buy.nnAnd honestly, that’s the problem. It’s great at what it does—cheap books, easy access, tons of selection—but it also kind of steamrolls the smaller bookstores that can’t compete on price or size.nnThat said, I still end up there. If I need a puzzle, a Sudoku book, or a gift, it’s the easiest option. I always walk out with something I didn’t plan on buying.nnSo I like it… but I also feel slightly guilty liking it. Best advice: support your local bookstore when you can, and use this as the backup.
This experience at Barnes and Nobles was surprising. I love books, but have grown weary of bookstores. It seems like they have lost their uniqueness. You have toys, stationary, music' videos, bags, coffee and books. Notice that books was the last thing I mentioned. Books have become an after thought in the big box retailers. So I was pleasantly surprised by this Barnes and Nobles. I found a lot of new and interesting books. I loved the layout of the store. Alcove after alcove of books. There are other things besides books of course. But this place reminded me of why I love bookstores. It was the perfect size and feel. I will definitely go back.
The most incredible surprise to find this brand new, beautifully-designed, Barnes & Noble bookstore in Concord.nIt’s truly breathtaking!nnImmediately upon walking in, I noticed the bright, clearly labeled genres & the layout feels like you are in little boutiques within a big store.nnI always gravitate towards the sweet literary inspired gift items and the beautiful paper products. Trust me when I tell you buying that gorgeous paper to wrap that special gift is worth it! I’ve done it many times and people have not forgotten how I presented their gifts. A few of my friends and family have actually saved the paper.nnThis store is nicely laid out!nAlthough my son is grown, I checked out the children’s area. It’s a delight!nAnd the cafe is large and well-lit.nnBooklovers, families, you will spend at least an hour here. Meet for play dates, besties, this will be your new hangout!nnCheck out my pics/videos and follow me here on Google Maps as I explore and contribute.nnI have a huge trip to Washington DC, coming up in mid to late May, 2024.nnEnjoy!nJosephine
So many books & activities for the small ones. My niece had a ball with all the books, puppets, stuffed animals, Lego……….. I have to say, it's not just for adults. They have every age group covered with all the information you'll need for a lifetime. I was really surprised by the quantity of really interesting literature. From cookbooks to maps you name it, they have it all.
