2nd & Charles

This is a great place! First of all, it's one of the last remaining brick-and-mortar bookstores offered ingredients real books in print. Second, they offer not only books, but albums, cds, dvds, and blurays too. Lastly, they cater to fanboys and fangirls, offering comic book, sci-fi, and fantasy collectibles. The store is clean and aesthetically pleasing as well, with comfortable areas to sit. My only gripe is that when they bought a number of rare, out of print graphic novels from me, they only offered $2 a book. I understand needing to have a profit margin, but that was a bit insulting.

I love this location of 2nd & Charles. This is where I buy most of my CDs and DVDs. If it's not this location, I usually go to the one in Baton Rouge on Perkins Road, which has a little bit more than this one. This one usually has my favorite drink (Sparkling Ice Water) unlike the one in BR. Not to mention that they sell old school Walkmans and DVD players.

Disappointed in customer experience. I would much rather pay full price for material than feel as though my need for assistance is interrupting someone’s day. The lack of help is interesting however when it is recognizably different between guests of a certain trait ! THIS LEADS TO MY INQUIRY AS TO WHY THIS LOCATION HAS NOT ONE SINGLE PERSON OF COLOR WORKING HERE! Nevertheless, will not be back to this location, shame on y’all…

I really enjoy this place. Organized and easy to find what I’m looking for. Employees are very welcoming and willing to help!

Tried to get an offer on books, movies, and a board game. Was told it'd be 45 minutes. After a four hour wait with no updates I was met with an insanely low-ball offer and then didn't receive all the items I brought back. Absolutely criminal operation.
