Dorothy sets off again on another adventure. She is visiting relatives when she gets caught underground by a people known as Mangaboos. Dorothy and her relatives are blamed for the earthquake and destruction of the Mangaboos’ property. All of them are sentenced to death, but Dorothy is saved by the Wonderful Wizard of Oz himself. They escape the Mangaboos and journey to a new world inhabited by people who remain invisible due to eating a special fruit. Will Dorothy make it back to this world? What will happen to the Wizard? aum was a prolific writer throughout his life. Even before the age of 17, Baum had started his own magazine using a printing press purchased by his father. Baum worked and was successful in a number of occupations including barrel-making, real estate, and drilling oil. Baum did have unsuccessful business as well including his acting career, bookshop owner, and his own newspaper. In 1900, at the age of 44, Baum wrote and published The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. Baum knew the story needed to be continued and wrote 13 more sequels. Baum died in 1919 and buried in Glendale, California.
