Viking Bookstore

This is a good place to get souvenirs, and basic school supplies. But I wouldn’t count on them for your course textbooks. This is the 2nd semester in a row that I’ve ordered textbooks a month in advance, but all books in my order are still on “back-order”, with no ETA (class starts tomorrow).nnCustomer Service seemed annoyed when I called to see about a resolution (they must get these calls often). I am understanding that these problems may be out of their control.nnThis frustration could be avoided if the bookstore sent an email to students that items are on backorder. It gives students time to find other options, so they’re not behind in course work.

I've been to this bookstore a handful of times throughout the summer semester and majority of the times I've been, it has a different operating hours posted online vs whatever paper they stick on their door.nnWould it kill y'all to update your servicing hours so we aren't wasting gas?n(I got here at 3:00pm and online they posted they close at 4pm)

I love the selection of school supplies, snacks, and school apperral. Perfect prices, and friendly staff. They also have a water bottle refill station in the back towards the snacks. There is no hot food, but there are sandwiches and microwavable food options like noodles. There are other snack choices like fruit cups, cheese sticks, chips, and candy. They have plenty of drink options as well. Some cool to mention are POM small juices, naked smoothies, and soda. Today, I purchased my sheet music binder for performances. It cost me $22, but it was well worth it, in my opinion. It is really well made and has plenty of space for a full performance. Thank you for keeping things like this in stock, even in mid semester.

The bookstore on both campuses should open by 7:30! It's ridiculous that even at 9 you don't open on time. Also the people who work are rude and have zero knowledge about books needed for courses. Then they move so slow. Please train all employees in customer service!! Plus the prices are really ridiculous at this point. $10 for a notebook, that's ridiculous. LBCC needs to do better on both campuses for all students and visitors!! We pay too much in tuition for the bookstore to be a rip off as well.

Horrible service, you can't get anything good in this bookstore and everything is too expensive for what there worth. If you say your open until 2pm on Friday then you shouldn’t be closed when I get there at 12:45pm. If you your going to be open, be open or take it off the door/google.
