Torah Treasures is mamash one of those Lakewood institutions where you walk in “just to pick up one sefer,” and somehow you walk out an hour later holding a stack like you’re opening a small yeshiva library. 😄nFirst of all, the selection is unreal. Whether you’re looking for a fresh Artscroll, a classic set for the shelf, a siddur for the car, a bentcher for simchos, kids’ Jewish books, learning aids, or that random obscure sefer someone quoted in the shiur that you have to see inside — they’ve got it. It’s like a candy store, except instead of sugar, you’re leaving with more yedios… and a lighter wallet (but in a very happy way).nAnd speaking of wallets — the prices are very competitive. You don’t feel like you’re paying “tourist pricing” just because you want Torah. It’s fair, it’s normal, it’s the kind of place where you feel like, “Ok, this is a good buy,” not “I need to take out a loan for a Chumash.” Big plus.nBut what really makes the place is the service. The staff is super knowledgable and patient, and they actually care that you get what you need. You can ask them, “I’m looking for a sefer on _____,” and they don’t just point vaguely and say “Over there.” They’ll ask what style you want, what level, what you’re learning, and they’ll guide you like a rebbi helping a talmid find the right mahalach. No attitude, no rushing you, no “next!” — just good, old-fashioned heimish customer service.nAlso, the vibe is very warm and respectful — you feel comfortable browsing, comparing editions, flipping through pages, and taking your time. It’s a calm, pleasant experience, even when it’s busy.nBottom line: Torah Treasures is a must for anyone in Lakewood (or passing through) who loves Torah and loves a good deal. Great prices, huge selection, and staff that makes you feel like you’re a regular even if it’s your first time walking in. A real yashar koach to them.
