This place is a book lovers Disneyland. Especially if you adore history. The owner is kind, friendly and very knowledgeable. I advise going when you have adequate time browse. I see reviews about the shop being too crammed- yes, but it's worth it, about it smelling like mold-no that's the delicious smell of old books. I will be back, every chance I get. ❤

The owner of this store is both kind and extremely knowledgeable. I had my daughter with me who is just under a year. Although the sign into the shop says “not childproof” which was my fault for not reading before entering; the owner was still very supportive of me bringing her in so that my husband and I could browse. He knows exactly where everything is and was happy to help us with any and all questions. Will be retuning to purchase books!

There are a lot of hidden gems in the store and the prices were very fair. We had a lot of fun treasure hunting and will definitely be back.

This place is certainly an experience to say the least. From the moment you walk in be prepared to see a LOT of BOOKs! Also be prepared to strategically move about the store, as the store resembles the homes on the TLC show “Hoarders.”nnThe owner (or staff member) rather than greeting us, quickly asked us to not remove books from any stacks as they might fall, which is easily understandable when you see the state of the store. The pathways are so narrow that if someone is looking at books you physically cannot get around them. I’m surprised the city hasn’t said something as I don’t believe EMTs could easily get to someone if their were ever an emergency.nnAdditionally the store, as far as I could tell, had little to no organization to help you find particular books that might be of interest. I suppose if you have a lot of time and don’t mind really looking long and hard you might find a gem here or there. Prices, in my opinion, were also quite high, and considering the vast inventory, you’d think they’d be more reasonable in order to clear out some space.nnAll in all I’d simply caution this place as “enter at your own risk.”

So much fun looking through all the books and finding hidden gems. The gentlemen I guess they own the store are very very nice.
