Went for free comic book day and ended up buying so much more, this shop is so cool! Their sale (see pic) was amazing! I got a bunch of comics 30% off, and most comics I got were 3.99 to 5.99. Posters were $10, and so many other great discounts. They have a program where you get a reserved box in the shop with your name on it and you get new comics as you order them so you go and pickup your stuff. Kinda like a cubby but for comics a d other stuff. I could spend all day there. I also got a Frieren Manga which I love the anime! The owner was so nice as well as the staff, they are very knowledgeable and happy to help find what you are looking for.
No longer doing military discounts or price matching. Been going here for the past 2 years or more and on yesterdays visit I got a weird look when I asked for a military discount (which I’ve gotten on every single previous visit) and he mentioned they never do it? They can’t keep inventory so they don’t want to discount it? Crazy because a lot of the same singles are always there because they’re OVERPRICED. I’ve tried to be supportive and think, oh maybe it was just a one time thing, but I’m done going here.nnPSA: *****Make sure you double check conditions and comps here*******
I go to surprise comics like every other day. I ADORE the staff, their prices are great from Pokemon singles and packs, to WALLS OF COMICS. I do come here when I’m having a rough time, too, because it just makes me happy. The vibes, the staff, even the other customers. THANK YOU everyone at surprise comics for giving me a small home away from home. Thank you for your kindness.
This place is cool. Find what I want when it comes to weekly releases and the staff is cool too. Variant covers and CGC slabs. Don't buy TCGs but that's all there too. Supplies. It's there in the back corner.
This place is way too boring. They don't do anything fun besides anniversaries, and Black Friday. That shop need to bring real OG comic books artist and they always bring same local artists. The night shift only say hi to their favorite customers, and don't greet anything. Everything is too modern.nI stop supporting that comic book store.
