Super neat place with loads of books from a variety of authors including local authors which I find so cool! There are a variety of genres to choose from, and there's definitely something for everyone. There is parking available too across the street from Slater Mill if you do drive in (I provided a photo of the lot), and the staff is so friendly and helpful and I will definitely be back.nnUpdate: they are closed
I can’t believe this cozy, inviting bookstore was in my backyard all this time and I didn’t know it! Well I’m certainly going to remedy that!nnBest of all? I got to meet the lovable mascot, Freddy (hope I spelled his name correctly)!
Great bookstore. The people working there are willing to help you find any book and order it. Very knowledgeable.
Loved this little bookstore so much! They have a great collection of both new and old books at affordable prices. 🩵nBonus point, if you’re a book and cat lover, you might get to meet Freddy, the sweetest kitty ever! I was so happy to see him and give him some pets.nThe lady there was super kind too; when we asked about Freddy, she actually brought him out to say hi. I think this just became one of my favorite spots. Highly recommend!!
What a lovely book store! Bright, cheery, wide selection of inspiring books, many by local authors. Many books of local history and interest as well. Prices are reasonable. Nice sized table of pre-loved books for a song. Easy to access by RIPTA as it is right at the Pawtucket Transit Center. Parking, H/C parking, and bike bollards are at the rear of the Chester Building. The owners are super nice, and so was the staff on duty the day I was there. (I hope to talk to them in the future about a book.) On the afternoon I visited, a local author was discussing her book with the owners & publishers.nnOne star dropped because parking could be a stressful issue for an out-of-towner, and no bike rack near the front of the store. Last, I have to wonder if the front door is really wheelchair-friendly with the magazine rack and the 90° turn. (I almost never give 5 stars. Just sayin'. It's the rare place that is 5-stars and close to perfection.)
