Stopped here while traveling, got great book recommendations and had great conversation! Very wide selection – this is the kind of spot that will not have more than a few copies of a single cover but will stock COUNTLESS books. They’ve also got some neat local merch like stickers and art, which is great for an out of state visitor like me. Awesome place 🙂
This is a great independent book store! I am so glad we made the stop on our way through. Huge selection, friendly staff, clean store, lots of on shelf recommendations for books. I was so impressed!
So cute and the lovely ladies running the shop were equally charming. They helped me learn about Iowa and choose a postcard for my cousin.

I checked out River Lights Bookstore for the first time today, and I was very impressed. You won't have an experience like this at a big-name store. The staff actually cares about your preferences and gives great recommendations. They also do community focused events, like a regular book club. My favorite section was the Banned Books, I had to buy three classics that shaped my childhood but now banned in our state's schools.
