Our visit to Jill's store was a highlight of our Westerly trip. Found great books for our 13-year-old along with Dear Evan Hanson for my mom (she's almost done but gave the book to someone else recently before finishing) and A Tree Grows in Brooklyn which I've been meaning to re-read for a while. Jill made recommendations for books she doesn't have as well. Great vibe. Lots of treasures. You have to hunt around and see what you find.

This is a must-visit for anyone who loves to read because of the owner Jill. The first time I visited, I asked for a recommendation for a saga — my favorite genre — and she handed me a worn paperback called Patchinko, which became one of my all time favorite novels. Last week, back to celebrate a friend's daughter's wedding, I couldn't wait to thank her in person. During my visit this time, we chatted about so many books, and then, she wouldn't let me leave without giving me an advanced proof of a book by Maggie O'Farrell as a gift(!!) when she saw that Land was on my reading app's Want To Read list. That level of personalized connection with a bookstore owner is worth your driving miles out your way!

Jill, the owner is super nice and knowledgeable, but the prices on the antique books are unbelievable. 20 dollars for an antique textbook with writing in it and a loose spine (about a 2 dollar book at a good antiquarian bookseller) As a bibliophile myself, if you are looking for antiquarian books, I suggest elsewhere. Also, the shop is quite cluttered and not everything is priced. The selection is great however. It is a cute shop in a gorgeous historic building!nnBottom Line: There are better used book shops in New England… but this is one of very few in this area. Worth a stop.

Fantastic experience. Books are priced super well, and the owner is kind and extremely helpful. I left with so many recommendations beyond what we even left with! You can tell she wants to build lifetime readers. A great place to find your next read (or 5)!

If you love reading books, love browsing books, love talking about books, and love discovering books that are right up your alley, then check out this cozy little store in downtown Westerly. The owner is knowledgeable across genres and so helpful! Just be warned, you won’t want to leave. So plan your visit accordingly.
