I recently found this bookstore after moving back to BS. I came for their grand re-opening and was pleasantly surprised at their amazing book selection and plants. I am so happy to find such a cute bookstore that specializes in romance! I was tempted to buy a book by an author I know and adore, but I loved seeing so many local Midwest authors and their books on display! And after checking out a few I decided on this lovely book: Elevator Pitch. I'm so excited to read it. It is signed by the author and came with such cute stickers & art prints (one being for adult eyes only- that they give you at check out 😉)! I'm definitely coming back for more, but preferably on a less busy day where I can take a seat and enjoy reading a bit of other novels/genres I might be interested in.

A Must-Visit for romance and dark romance girlies!! Limited selection of other genres. Sooo much cute bookish merch — love the hats, pins, and home library signage.nnI maybe would have bought a paint but I am an amateur and nothing was labeled so it was hard for me to google what was what and pick something pet friendly.nnWe need more stores like this.

One of the best bookstores I have been to in KC! The owner is one of the kindest and most deserving people! Having moved into a bigger space has allowed for so much more fun stuff including craft events, book club, and more.

Read and Rooted is such a gem! They have an incredible selection of books and plants, fun book lover gifts and so much more making it the perfect place to browse, unwind, and discover something new.
