People’s Book

Such a charming and well-organized bookstore! They have a wonderful selection of books along with unique and thoughtful gift options. You can really feel their commitment to the community and to promoting reading and education. If you’re in Takoma Park, this is definitely a place worth stopping by.

This store is amazing and I’m glad I stopped in to support the cause. I ended up buying a bunch of zines and pamphlets while visiting from Indy. The staff was friendly and engaging. I hope they thrive and the community supports them

This is the best bookstore in the area. They have a wide range of books, fun zines and gifty things, and great staff with helpful recommendations. There are book groups and author talks and so much community goodness. Go check them out!

What a great little bookstore. The selection is great and the employees are just amazing. In my time there I saw them helping kids with a scavenger hunt in the store, helping people find/order books, and one of them was dressed as Waldo from Where's Waldo?nnIt's just a lively shop and really feels like a place designed to be a whole experience rather than JUST and place to buy a book. Definitely recommend stopping by.

We aren't in Takoma Park very often but when we are, we are always at People's Book! The staff are so personable and always have great suggestions for our growing reader and her local friend. Their space is always warm and welcoming and they seem really engaged with the local community. I cannot leave without purchasing something, whether it is a book or a card – be warned, it will happen to you too! 🙂
