Pegasus Books of Bend

Awesome place, lots of sci-fi books and novels. It was busy with a lot of parents and grandparents like me buying stuff for their kids. I came for the Pokémon cards because friends of my grandson recommend him the store. Dylan, maybe the owner, helped my 5 year old grandson choose Pokémon cards. He was so patient and I admire his “genius way” in dealing with little clients like my grandson that know about Pokémon. Definitely I will be back with him to a Pegasus store. Thanks Dylan, I hope I am spelling your name right.

Cashier was absolutely lovely, engaged with me about the comic I was buying, and gave me a recommendation I'll definitely be checking out!

I have been to hundreds of bookstores. I’ve worked in a used bookstore. I know a used book when I see one. I went up to ask the book clerk (or owner, I’m not sure) how the pricing was for their used books since I didn’t see anything signifying price differences between what was used or new. I was told “we don’t sell used books”… hmmm. I wish I had taken pictures of the books which were very clearly used (stickers poorly removed, yellowed pages from age and sun exposure, and beat up spines, etc). The clerk was very friendly and asked if we needed help finding anything. However, I just can’t support a business that does not market with honesty. If they do in fact don’t carry used books – they should at least round up the books that do looked used or are damaged and put them in a discounted section. My friends and I were interested in a few books that looked used but could not justify spending new book pricing for a book that was did not appear to be new.

Went in to visit today with my partner, and whoa!! This bookstore is beautiful and I love how many different selections of books there are! I went straight to the manga section- I haven’t seen a wall of manga so tall before! There’s a LOT to choose from. I’m definitely going to be returning in the future!nnAlso- loved the figurines in the store!

This is my favorite comic book store in Oregon. The owner is very kind, and always offers great suggestions. I love their collection of DC compact comics.
