Pauper’s Book & More

I was staying at a hotel across the street, and I was looking for lunch, but was happy to stumble across this used bookstore. Bookstore. I actually picked up a few books (decent poetry section!) and had a really good browse. I will definitely come back if I'm in the area. They also have movies and comics. This is my favorite place in all of Clayton, possibly in all of the triangle!!! THE best little bookstore. It’s a haven for the readers & the weirdos (myself included). We love it here.

Everytime we go to Johnson county we have to stop in here! Some of the best prices for used books and they have such a giant selection! The people working are always super nice and so damn helpful. The atmosphere is just perfect. Plenty of places to sit and read inside as well, it's super quiet.

This bookstore is amazing! As I surveyed this town, finding Pauper’s Books was a surprise. It’s actually so good that you’ll enjoy the clean, loaded, and organized array of books, comics, and other items. You’ll feel the artistic side of the owner-management in the sections and dividers of the store. This place is like Clayton’s hidden treasure that you must visit.

Love this place! We go as a family regularly to see what new books they have in! The linyl record selection is also huge compared to other used bookstores! Great little find for Clayton!nThey have new books also, so lots of options to choose from and knowledgeable staff!
