Lingering Tales Gallery & Used Bookstore

Went to this newly opened used bookstore today and I’m OBSESSED. It’s owned by a mother-daughter duo (trio if you include their adorable and incredibly friendly dog Dorothy), and has an huge selection of books. Romance, fiction, classics, mystery/thriller/horror (SO MANY OF THESE), fantasy/romantasy, nonfiction, and YA (and more). It’s my new favorite.

I was so pleasantly surprised by the selection and prices at this small, charming shop. I purchased two classics that were both in perfect condition and were cheaper than any reseller I could find on Amazon, (I walked out paying $16 total). They've got impressive editions in every section and the inventory is immaculately curated. The memoir area is unlike any I've found at any local bookstore, used or not. The YA/Fantasy section is packed with used copies of currently-popular titles at a fraction of the cost. Quality and selection is in no way sacrificed for price here which was the most impressive part of the experience. The owner was warm, lovely and knowledgeable. Don't walk out before going around the corner and viewing the hidden little kitchen…check it out for yourself, I don't want to ruin the surprise.

Lingering Tales is THE BEST!!! Where to begin… Dorothy is the best greeter on 4 legs and she's the cutest and sweetest. They have a constantly rotating selection of books and I always find so many that are on my list to read. It's cute inside – small, but homey. The woman that's usually there when I go in (I think she's the owner) is so friendly and helpful. You can't beat the price. I usually pay about $50 for 5-6 books. The books are well organized so it's easy to find what you're looking for. I live about 35 minutes away, but I go here every 1-2 months to get more books because I know I'll find a bunch I like. This place is a must visit for anyone who loves to read (and loves dogs)!

my favorite used bookstore. this little gem tucked away on santa fe blvd is a charming, female-owned shop with a great selection and helpful staff. extra points for the art on the walls and dorothy zbornak the dog.

This place is amazing! My boyfriend and I were on a trip to Denver to visit several places and we stopped here. We met Dorothy the sweetest little doggie and found some amazing books to add to my personal collection! Will definitely make a point to visit again!
