Last Exit Books and Coffeehouse

5/5 for the Bookstoren5/5 for the Coffee Shopn10/10 for the combinationnnIn an area with a lot of competition for places to get coffee, Last Exit is one of my Favorites. I really enjoy it as a spot to sit down and read, or write. The Coffee shop fair on offering is great, and the atmosphere is my all time favorite.nnThe bookshop is also excellent. It is fun to go in and browse, and I frequently leave with something I am unexpectedly excited about. Last Exit Books is always my first stop when looking for a particular book. Even if they don't have the particular title I'm searching for, I usually end up finding something I didn't realize I needed during the search.nnThe convenient location in Downtown Kent, near Akorn Alley, makes it an essential stop when walking around downtown. With Last Exit and Off The Wagon being, in my opinion, the two necessary ingredients that you build the rest of your time downtown around.nnI love this spot and cannot recommend it enough. Thank you to all the people there that make it such a lovely place.nnNow, back to my book.

A Perfect Escape: Coffee, Books, and SolitudennBack then, all I really wanted was a quiet escape — just me, a cup of coffee, and a good book. There’s something deeply comforting about being alone in a peaceful spot, where time slows down and the outside world fades away. It wasn’t about loneliness; it was about finding clarity in solitude.nnThe aroma of fresh coffee, the rustle of turning pages, and the gentle hum of a quiet café or a cozy corner at home — those were the best moments. No distractions, no noise, just a sense of calm that wrapped around me like a soft blanket.nnIt’s in those little moments that I found the best kind of peace — simple, still, and soul-filling.

I went here right before a show at the Kent stage with my dad. We both got cortados, the service was amazing, the atmosphere was so cozy, and the coffee was amazing. Next time I am in Kent I will come back!

Was able to my artwork,along with book signing, Author Ronna Russell used a piece for the cover of her book.nLast exit is a great place..old books,comics and records,,great atmosphere,I hang out there about 3 times a week drink coffee, sketch and write in my journal,or to just sit there and read.. and hang out with old and young hippies.

I love book stores, super nice, great people, love the little places to read, coffee shop had bookshelves with “cheaper” books
