This is actually a pretty cool place! 1st Floor has a bar, restaurant, and features non-fictional book selections. 2nd floor has plenty of seating areas with the fictional book selections that also can have food/drinks served to. 3rd floor is an outdoor rooftop space, but was closed due to winter. Would recommend reservations if you want a good spot. Staff was awesome and so helpful. Place is gorgeous inside / out

Visited for a private event, about 10 people. The backroom upstairs was perfect! Cozy and beautiful. Staff were kind, attentive, and accommodating. Thank you for a great time! I didn't get to experience the dining room, bar, or bookstore, but do recommend them for small events or meetings and will be back to check out the rest

Flyleaf bookstore / bistro is a lovely gathering place for book lovers and people who want to connect and be social in a warm and delightful environment. The staff is very friendly and the offerings are splendid. My friend and I enjoyed the crab cakes , fries and chocolate cloud cake while catching up on literature and life while sitting in front of a cozy fireplace. Books for purchase are creatively displayed on both floors. Seating is comfortable. I highly suggest reserving a table otherwise there could be a wait. Great place!

So fabulous! Feels like Beacon Hill right here in Grosse Pointe. Buy a book and read at the bar, which has a great selection of drinks and food. They have the nicest staff (Charlie was so kind) & greatest atmosphere.

I had a truly uncomfortable and disappointing experience at FlyLeaf on Thursday. My friend and I were seated and served by Evelyn, whose attitude was immediately rude and dismissive. The customer service was some of the worst I’ve experienced, unfriendly, abrupt, and made us feel unwelcome from the start.nnThe situation got worse when I ordered a glass of red wine. What I was served was nowhere near a standard pour, it wasn’t even an ounce. Meanwhile, another customer at there received a clearly correct and full pour of wine at the same time. The inconsistency was obvious and embarrassing. It genuinely felt like I was being treated differently, and I left feeling profiled and uncomfortable.nnWhile the manager did remove the wine from our bill, that does not excuse the experience. This was about the principle, the treatment, and how unwelcome I felt in that moment. I have never felt so uncomfortable at a restaurant or bar.nnI will absolutely never be back. I’ve attached photos showing the wine pour for context.
