Lovely place! The owner was friendly and inside was clean and cozy. The owner decorates based on time of year/holidays. We drove 45 minutes to visit this bookstore after finding it on Instagram. The kids loved the Halloween puzzle and picked out a couple of books. I found a couple of books as well. The prices are fair – list price for brand new books, used pricing for used books. We'll definitely be back!
What a find! It was a fortunate accident that I locked myself out of my car and got to spend an extremely pleasant hour browsing the shelves, admiring the quirky decor, chatting with the owner and reading Bill Bryson. Nestled into the bones of what was once a truckstop (complete with built-in lunch counter stools and booths) this bookstore is a treasure hunter's dream. I walked away with a generous armful of books on local natural history and a few other gems, but whatever your genre of choice, you can definitely spend a portion of your day here with a wonderful sense of discovery. Highly recommended!!
Stopped in Flourish as part of our little birthday getaway to New Buffalo and holy moly this place is the epitome of a hidden gem! Everything a bookstore should be- felt like we time traveled to the 60s 🙂 plants, books, free coffee in a repurposed diner!? Heaven on Earth. The owner was a sweetheart too❤️
Honestly the most unique bookstore I've ever been in. A repurposed diner that has a treasure trove of both used and new books. Wife and I could've totally spent the whole day here. (A grey and rainy in January). Owner is super cool too. Definitely will be back.
Wonderful bookstore. I love the feeling inside with all of the different nooks, shelves, and book stacks every where. The lady that owns it is also very nice. We usually walk out with at least one plant too
