Best comic shop in Phoenix and one of the best I've ever visited, period. Large inventory of back issues going back to, and including, golden age books. Decent selection of trades, omnis, Pops, action figures, statues, Pokemon cards, t-shirts. The owner (Bill) has been in the business for many years and knows his stuff. He'll treat you fairly if you're looking to wheel and deal. Great book shop!
The owner scammed me. I picked up a comic book off the shelf, it was one of a bunch of the same copy in a stack (~$6 per comic). I flipped through a couple pages and put it back on the shelf where I found it. When I tried to walk out the owner stopped me and used a rude tone. He was mad that I put the comic down saying it was now “Used” and I had to buy it. I don’t even like comic books, I was killing time as my friends shopped. There were no signs stating if I flipped through a book I’d have to buy it, if I knew I definitely wouldn’t picked it up. Bad experience with the shop, I will not be going back. I was at a different comic store in Mesa yesterday and they encouraged me to read through their books. It was very frustrating, how was I supposed to know any better? 1 star, I’d take your business elsewhere.
If your looking for bronze, silver or golden age comics this is the store to go too. Clean and organized, with a little bit of everything for everyone. Only thing I would say negative is when you purchase new comics they are not bagged and borded. Having collected as long as I have been it's a nice convenience to have.
Amazing collection of keys or any issue to complete your collection at killer prices. If they don't have it, they will do what they can to get it. If you are a Pop, t-shirt, or action figure collector, they have those too. MOTU Origins collectors, they have those too!
This has got to be one of the best comic book stores in the nation. Bill the owner has been in the comic book business for a long time and he knows it all. István provides great customer service and keeps a clean organized shop.
