Esmeraldas Libreria Christiana y Floristeria (Christian books and Flower shop)

I’m not at all pleased with this Christian bookstore.The website shows that it is open, after traveling here it’s not open.Its absolutely important that I get God’s work done today. Please consider Esmeralda’s Bookstore and not Esmeralda’s Christian Bookstore.nThanks

I really like this store. Not only can I get what I need but there's a flower shop inside. Recently I had a hard time finding flowers for a 94 years young woman and had to settle for a plant. Now I know where I can buy her and my mother fresh roses until I plant my own.

I do not normally write reviews but today I had such a blessed and unforgettable experience that I had to share it. I needed another New King James Version of the Bible as mine had become rather worn and tattered, so I looked up Christian bookstores in the Richmond, VA area and found Esmeralda’s Libreria Cristiana y Floristeria in North Chesterfield, VA. Upon entering the store, I was immediately greeted in such a warm and inviting fashion by a gentleman who I had come to find out was one of the store owners. The gentleman did not hesitate to provide me with help after I informed him that I was looking to purchase a New King James Version of the Bible with very precise specifications – he courteously made me aware that he was going to have his wife assist me, as he needed to attend to something. What an absolutely lovely woman to work with – this woman was so attentive as she worked to find the specific Bible I was looking to purchase. After some time, she found that the Bible was out of stock, so she offered to order the Bible for me. When the gentleman heard that the Bible I was looking to purchase was out of stock, he sprang into action and combed through all the Bibles that they had and found – the most beautiful New King James Version of the Bible that I had ever seen! The Bible did not only have all of the specifications that I wanted and needed, but so much more which included an exquisitely made leather cover! I was just blown away, but it did not stop there. I attempted to find a Bible bag to fit and match my newly found Bible but needed to have the packaging opened for the bags that I found, to verify the fit, so I brought the bags to the wife, explained the situation to her and she graciously opened the packaging for each bag and worked to fit the Bible into all of the Bible bags with no success. That was until the gentleman again, saw an issue and immediately went to find a remedy. He came back with a number of nicely made Bible bags, of which there was a size issue found with all but one. The gentleman remembered the color of the Bible cover, which I originally stated I was looking for and found a Bible bag in that color and size needed to fit my Bible! In the gentleman’s viewing of the Bible bag, he found a slight issue with the bag and after I informed him that I really liked the bag he worked to remedy the issue, made sure my Bible fit well in the bag and blessed me with the bag as a gift for buying the Bible! If that is not the emulation of a servant of God, I do not know what he is. The gentleman did not stop there though, he spoke a blessing over my life and gave me the most beautiful rose! There is no way that I could not continue to shop at Esmeralda’s Libreria Cristiana y Floristeria for the tools I need to continue building my spiritual life and to purchase the most gorgeous flowers ever! I did not leave feeling like a well-cared for customer, but instead I left feeling like a loved family member. Thank you both for your wonderful hospitality, care and concern to meet my needs and for treating me like family – I pray that God continues to bless and keep you, as you all are truly amazing!

When I called, the gentleman who answered did not understand me and then when he handed the phone to another lady she seemed like maybe this was her first time. I think she was also eating while on the phone. Tone and vocabulary VERY unprofessional. Then she hung up on me!

Amazing store if they don't have what you need they can order it and plus amazing flowers they are fresh and ready to go well have a nice day!
