Cosmic Rays

A very cool and welcoming environment. The owner was very helpful, friendly and down to earth. I left the store with a surprising pick and would definetly come again.nnIf you are a collector or want to get into comics, please give this store a shot.

I’ve been a regular here since moving to Columbia and it’s one of my favorite spots. Ray is a great dude and is hilarious in addition to being very customer service oriented for his comic subscribers. I’ve had pulls boxes at a variety of stores in the 20+ years I’ve been collecting and this is the place I’ve felt most comfortable having my pull box out of all of them.

Amazing selection. Me and my son loved this place! He loves invincible and we were lucky enough to find the last invincible comic book! The owner was so nice!

Wide selection of comics. The owner (I assume) was very friendly and helpful. being a broke college student, I often worry about price, especially since comics can be so expensive, so I was pleased to see they had a great secondhand section with many fairly priced titles. I recommend anyone new to comics/ anyone interested in comics to come support this local business.

I had my son take nine comics into this store for me last October to be graded. They were entrusted to Greg. Since then, we’ve gotten the grade for one of the nine. However, we haven’t heard from Greg since April despite too many calls and texts to count. Not only do I not know how much the comics are worth, I have no idea where they even are. So that is why I’m posting here to possibly get some answers. At this point, I just want them back.nnUPDATE: I finally heard back from Greg, but only after posting my initial review. He gave me back some of my comics and some of the money owed. However, he still owes me a substantial amount of money. Which he acknowledged in more than one text message, and stated that he would, “give me the balance of what I owe you no later than November 1st”. Well here we are November 8th. I don’t have the balance of what I’m owed, and Greg has gone ghost. No longer responding to my efforts to reach him. Who knows if I ever will.nnIt would be too easy to go on a rant about this guy who works for/with Cosmic Rays, but I’m only stating facts. However, I will say that integrity is not a word that I associate with him or this place of business.
