Small, independent bookstore specializing in used, eclectic books. I'm sure it's great, but got there before it opened to get a particular book. One guy in line in front of me grabbed it before me. Darn! But owner took my info to contact if got another one. So, people who like hard-to-get stuff know to get here early!
What an unexpected gem to find in Richmond. What Brian's Books lacks in size it more than makes up for in thoughtfully-curated selection and very reasonable prices. Dipped in while visiting the city for a long weekend and in the span of 20 minutes had thoughtful conversations with the store owner and a fellow customer. Walked away with a great Philip K. Dick book, and was tempted to by some others. I highly recommend Brian's Books.
Apologies to all the other book stores in Richmond, but this one is the best, used or new. I always find something that I have never heard of before and there are always old favorites or fun vintage mass market covers to peruse.
My new favorite bookstore! So unique, small yet jam-packed with nothing but interesting books. Everything is really really cheap! I can’t wait to go back!
The selection is second to none, even in a very small building. Brian is also the nicest guy ever. Best bookstore in Richmond.
