Big Apple Comics & Collectibles

recently visited Big Apple Comic & Collectibles, and it was the very first comic book shop I’ve ever been to. As someone who’s just recently gotten into comics, I have to admit I was pretty overwhelmed at first the selection is massive! Luckily, the staff there are some of the nicest people I’ve ever met. One staff member spent 15–20 minutes with me, patiently explaining where everything was, how the comic book system works, and even the difference between variant covers and weekly releases. Their guidance made the whole experience so much easier and enjoyable.nnOne of my favorite things about the store is their huge backlog of comics. If you’re looking for older issues, they almost always have them. They also have a thoughtful setup for beginners: they’ve put together complete story arcs, like collections from The Amazing Spider-Man, so new readers can follow a story from start to finish without feeling lost. I thought this was such a helpful and sincere touch.nnTheir selection of new comics is excellent, with dedicated sections for weekly releases and recent issues. Beyond comics, they also sell Pokémon and One Piece items at market prices, as well as drinks and snacks at affordable prices. The store is welcoming, organized, and the staff truly make it a great place for both new and experienced comic fans. I highly recommend checking out Big Apple Comic & Collectibles if you’re in the area you’ll leave with a smile (and maybe a few new comics too)!

I was passing through Amarillo on a road trip and discovered this shop. They had a great selection of kids comics from the 1980s including Walt Disney titles. They had these comics separated on specific shelves. If you are into 80s title like ALF, Heathcliff, Top Dog, etc….you have to check this place out. They have the best selection I have ever seen from that era. I actually found the exact, rather rare, kids 80s STAR comic I needed to complete my set. They had a good selection of back issue and modern titles as well. Staff was friendly, too.nnThere is a large, separate section of vintage Walt Disney comics. Do not miss this section if you are into these comics.

Wow! For (OG) comic collectors this place is AWESOME! I've visited LOTS of places and how this shop is organized is hands down the best. All that said, it is rather difficult to find … some (street) signage would make a BIG difference!

Nice selection of comics, and large stock of D&D and Warhammer product s. Prices were a little high. Store was pretty full. It could use more lights, since it was dim, and there's a bit of clutter (probably sorting area) at the left side of the store. The person working was an older gentleman who stayed behind the counter the whole time we were there, possibly due to not being very mobile. But he was nice, and gave us a free sticker. We plan to visit the shop again, next time we're in Amarillo.

I went there with my son and his family. They have lots of interesting things. My son was looking at Warhammer items. I also saw comic books and a lot of dice. I loved all the different dice sets, so colorful! If you like tabletop gaming, go and check them out!
